The Company leads in the design and delivery of high performance, research-based English Language Literacy Curriculum for over 20 years. The Company developed their proprietary Reading System with older students in their private tutoring practice. In 1985 they founded their Learning Center for students with dyslexia and three years later published their proprietary Reading System. Whether caused by dyslexia or some other language-based learning difficulty, a late introduction to English or over-reliance on whole language programs, this deficit must be corrected by direct, multisensory, structured language teaching. The Company’s mission is to provide teachers with the skills and tools they need to help their students become fluent, independent readers. They prepare teachers to use their multisensory, structured language programs and strategies to successfully teach reading and spelling. |

| CANDIDATE |
The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with the ability to multi-task and have proven ability to analyze and synthesize a wide breadth of information. He/she will have the opportunity to create a new department within the organization. This individual is responsible for developing and managing outreach, grants, strategic initiatives, including all alliances, key business initiatives, and client relations. This position will work closely with the Executive Team and Professional Development staff to ensure that clients implement the Company’s products and programs with fidelity to design. He/she will have strong organization skills, be detail oriented but also have the ability to think, plan and act strategically. An excellent communicator with the ability to act and communicate in high-level settings and influence and persuade others to achieve the desired outcomes will do well in this role. The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as a team member is essential. Approximately 15% travel will be required with this position. A Masters in Education or related field is required, MBA or PhD preferred. 15 years experience in the educational field is required and must have strong relationships on a national basis. Specific knowledge and background of education issues related to primary reading, the at-risk, and literacy for all ages is preferred. Fluent in current reading/literacy research and best practices in these areas is helpful.

| PRIMARY DUTIES |
This position will oversee business development administration, proposals and strategic response. This position will work closely with the Executive Team to ensure that clients implement the Company’s products and programs with fidelity to design. This individual is responsible for developing and managing strategic initiatives, including all alliances, key business initiatives, and client relations. |
| RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Develop personal and professional networks and develop appropriate network with professional organizations.
- Promote the Professional Development and Company product using the pedagogical elements and research base to differentiate from the competition.
- Provide marketing staff with key points for developing promotional materials (print, video, CD ROM, Web, etc.).
- Gather competitive and efficacy data and analyze data to determine the effectiveness of program delivery systems and participant outcomes.
- Provide presentations on the research-based pedagogy and programs and conduct key presentations to educational leadership organizations within districts and states.

- Participate in communications with key clients or organizations relative to their high level questions, in the field of reading research and educational issues.
- Understand how changes in the market impact Company products and programs.

- Review and interpret government codes to develop and submit compliance documents and data for Company product and program adoption.

The ideal candidate will be a high-energy, organized, hands-on, detail oriented leader with the ability to think strategically and implement the strategy in a manner that considers the successful programs and processes that are in place. The successful candidate will lead by principles, motivation, be a mentor/coach, be able to deal with conflict resolution and build organizational relationships. This individual is responsible for Company-wide operations, finance, administration, professional development and human resource functions including workforce development and organizational effectiveness with a focus on developing and maintaining a culture of cooperation, productivity and the achievement of goals and objectives. - Issuing RMA and Call Tags to customers who have received wrong or duplicate materials. This involves researching the
customer’s account, finding the original novice, completing pertinent paperwork and forwarding it to the Supervisor.
- Interacts with MDC personnel to ensure timely and complete shipments of materials to customers. Data entry and processing
of rosters for various course offerings.
- Process In-service Rosters- Entering participant information from OVID Cards into Intranet. Double checking course
