Multi-tiered Systems for Support:
Grades 4-12 Implementation Support and Sustainability Plan

Wilson partners with schools and districts to support teachers with the goal of sustaining program fidelity and increasing student success. Implementation support and sustainability plans are identified based upon the Wilson programs implemented in a 4-12 setting.

For example, if a school district is implementing Just Words in Tier 2, the implementation support would include the Introductory Workshop and coaching visits for classroom teachers. If Wilson Reading System is also implemented in Tier 3, the implementation support would include WRS Certification as well.

Implementation Support and Sustainability Plans

The implementation support is the minimum professional development and support that we feel is necessary to get the program up and running.  The sustainability plans offer districts a path to maintain support over time by developing qualified in-district personnel to provide support to teachers and to deliver program workshops within their district.

Wilson recommends the following professional development and support for each program model. To develop a plan to put Wilson to work in your district, please call 800-899-8454 and ask to speak with a Client Relations Specialist.

Implementation Support:

  • Just Words Introductory Workshop
  • Coaching Visits (minimum of 2 visits throughout the year)

Sustainability Plan:

  • Principal and Administrative Orientation
  • Just words Screening and Placement Workshop (if appropriate)
  • Just Words Introductory Workshop (minimum of 4 visits throughout the year)
  • Coaching Visits
  • Wilson / Fluency Workshop
  • Just Words Facilitator and/or Facilitator / Presenter Development

  Intensive Model (Tier 3)

  • WRS Level I Certification
  • Advanced Strategies in MSL Instruction (WRS Group Mastery)
