This online course provides practical application of reading research, with particular emphasis on phonological awareness, phonics and spelling at the beginning levels of decoding and encoding. The course provides specific procedures to teach the concepts presented in WRS Steps 1-6. NOTE: Successful completion of the Word Study course when combined with WRS Steps 1-6 Practicum will result in WRS Level I Certification.
Prerequisite: WRS Introductory Workshop (completed within the last five years)
Course Duration: 90 hours; must be completed within 12 months
Enrollment: Print registration form and submit to Wilson Language Training. Note: This course is part of the WRS Level I Certification course, but can also be taken on its own. This registration form is for the course only, without certification.
