Fundations is Florida DOE Approved!

Fundations, a Structured Literacy program rooted in the science of reading, is a Florida state-approved resource for students with a substantial deficiency in reading for whom interventions have not been effective. It has also been proven effective in improving foundational literacy skills for all students, allowing schools to implement a coherent solution across all instructional tiers. Fundations provides:

• Teachers with detailed, easy-to-follow daily learning plans and thorough activity procedures,
• Students to build critical foundational literacy skills that are often gaps for struggling readers.
• Teaching to mastery within a 30-minute daily lesson by emphasizing the mastery of skills through activity-based learning.
• Instruction & integrated assessment through whole-class, small-group, and individualized instruction while tracking progress with clear, actionable data.

Independent studies including ESSA’s analysis of data from a Florida district demonstrate that students using Fundations achieve greater gains in foundational literacy skills compared to students using programs previously implemented by the schools.
